2023 Buick Envision vs. 2023 Buick Enclave | Clinton Township, MI

If you’re looking for a smart, sophisticated SUV, both the 2023 Buick Envision and 2023 Buick Enclave fit the bill. While these two models are loaded with advanced tech tools, stylish design cues, and upscale comforts, they also have their share of differences. Here’s a look at how these luxury vehicles differ.

Power and performance

Every model of the 2023 Buick Envision comes equipped with a 2.0-liter Turbo inline-four engine that generates 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to its efficient design and smart nine-speed automatic transmission, the Envision earns up to 31 mpg on the highway.[1] On the other hand, the Enclave’s 3.6-liter V6 churns out 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. It channels all that power through a nine-speed automatic and earns a maximum of 26 mpg when cruising on the highway.[2] Both models come standard with front-wheel drive and offer available all-wheel drive.

Exterior styling

Both the Buick Enclave and Envision embrace a sleek and modern design philosophy. The Envision lets you choose from six classic exterior colors, including Cinnabar Metallic, Moonstone Gray Metallic, Summit White, White Frost Tricoat, Sapphire Metallic, and Ebony Twilight Metallic. The Enclave has a larger palette, with seven available choices. It features a greenish hue called Sage Metallic, along with the brighter Cherry Red Tintcoat in place of the Envision’s Cinnabar Metallic.

Both of these sophisticated SUVs also offer the Sport Touring trim level. The Envision expresses its Sport Touring style with a dark finish on its exterior features, including the exhaust bezels, lower door trim, window trim, and mirrors. Plus, it boasts black roof rails and body-color door handles. In contrast, the Enclave ST distinguishes itself with a blacked-out mesh grille with a body-colored surround, Pitch Dark Night lower trim, and bold 20-inch machine-faced aluminum wheels with Satin Graphite painted pockets.

Seating and spaciousness

In terms of seating and storage capacity, the Envision is a smaller model than the Enclave. The Envision comfortably seats five passengers while offering 25.2 cubic feet of room for cargo. Fold down the rear seats for up to 52.7 cubic feet of storage room.

The larger Enclave seats up to seven passengers while providing 23.6 cubic feet of storage room for your everyday necessities. Fold down the third row for 57.7 cubic feet of cargo space, or flatten the entire rear seating area for a grand total of 97.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity for your gear.

Luxuries

You can opt for the range-topping Avenir trim on both the Envision and Enclave. Both indulge you with a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, heated second-row outboard seats, and automatic climate control. However, the Enclave goes a step further with massaging front seats and leather seating.

Technology

When it comes to tech tools, you can count on both the Enclave and the Envision to keep you connected on the go. Both SUVs come standard with wireless smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth® streaming audio, and 8-inch color touch-screen displays. The Envision’s upgraded infotainment system adds GPS navigation, while the Enclave offers a 10.2-inch display with GPS navigation.

Driver-assist features

The Enclave and Envision both come standard with six advanced safety features including Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and IntelliBeam® automatic high beams. However, the Enclave features three more standard driver-assist technologies — Lane Change Alert with Front and Rear Park Assist, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Price

The Envision starts at $34,795, while an entry-level Enclave comes with an MSRP of $46,195.
