FREE Loaner
For over 30 years now, Jim Causley has been giving FREE loaner vehicles to assist you with your transportation needs during a collision repair. Loaner vehicles will be given for up to 30 days pending the approval of a collision insurance claim. We’ll create a written estimate of what’s recommended to complete the repair, and we will offer Genuine GM Parts. In addition, if there is other service work that is required to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition, we have Certified Service technicians on hand. We will review this estimate with you and address any questions you may have.
My insurance company is directing me to take my repair somewhere other than Jim Causley?
What you might encounter:
There is one important fact to remember if you have an insurance claim. Per Michigan State Law, the insured, not the insurance company chooses where the vehicle is to be repaired. Your insurance company cannot require you to take your vehicle to a repair facility that you do not feel comfortable with. Your insurance company might tell you that they will only warranty the repairs at another shop. Well, Jim Causley has been in the body shop repair business for 69 years in Metro Detroit, and we will stand behind and warranty any repair we perform. Some insurance companies direct our customers away from our body shop because they receive budget repair rates, use improper materials and turn out "shoddy" repairs at other small, independent body shops. Another tactic they use is to tell you it will take a couple days to get an adjuster out to Jim Causley, thus delaying the start of your repair. You can demand better service; you are paying them for the coverage. Insurance companies don't discount your premium for going to a shop of their choosing, nor will you pay any more in premiums for having us repair your vehicle. We can help if you have any questions about filing a claim with your insurance company, our staff will be able to assist you on the procedures regarding your particular company.
